Would you like to be part of a dynamic science competition that attracts the best science students across the nation?  Then help sponsor the Florida Science Olympiad!

In March of each year, students from across the state converge on Orlando to compete in this exciting science competition. Students compete in a variety of individual events which include bridge building, bottle rocket launches, egg drops, and model airplane flights. The types of events span the spectrum of science and include ecology, biology, chemistry, physics, and engineering. This year, Florida Science Olympiad will host nearly 80 schools, comprised of teams of 15 students in both middle and high school divisions. One from each division will represent Florida at the National Science Olympiad.

There are two ways that you can help. The first way is to become the sponsor of an individual event. For a list of the events click here.  The cost of sponsorship is only $250.00 per event and your company or organization will be placed on a flyer that each student, teacher and accompanying parent will receive. In addition, you will be placed on our web site for one year. If you have a banner, we would also be happy to display it during the Florida Science Olympiad competition.

The second way to help is to become a scholarship donor. In each of our 23 high school events, we award medals to our top three places. However, we lack the funds to provide scholarships to the first place students. As a scholarship donor, you can help provide these scholarships. Simply pick the event for which you would like to provide a scholarship, decide on the amount, notify Florida Science Olympiad, and send a representative to the Florida Science Olympiad on March 8th to present the check to the winners of the event. Most events have at least two first place medal winners, with the exception of Mission Possible, which can have up to four medal winners. Therefore, the number of scholarships in each event should be commensurate with the number of participants in the event. If you choose to be a scholarship donor, you will be listed on the same flyers described above and you will also be placed on our web site.
